Journalists wishing to cover the WIPO Conference on the Global Digital Content Market are invited to apply for media accreditation.

The conference will take place from April 20-22, 2016, at WIPO’s Geneva headquarters and will feature industry leaders and key players in the creative content economy.

Journalists wishing to cover the conference are requested to submit an accreditation form with the supporting documents by April 15, 2016. Journalists already accredited to the United Nations do not need to submit a separate accreditation form; however all journalists, including UN-accredited press, will need to register online to obtain a badge to ensure access to the conference hall.

Public and private- sector leaders as well as creators including winners of the Grammy and Academy Awards, will discuss the creative content economy, which has been roiled by radical change to access and business models.

The tensions between increased access and a sustainable economic value chain are the essence of this conference, which will explore: copyright in the digital age; the impact of the digital environment on creators; the role for publishers, producers and distribution platforms; and digital markets, access, and participation.
